RFD TV was on hand at the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Equestfest with a full crew to broadcast the Rose Parade Horses demonstration live to the RFD TV network. The RFD TV Rose Parade float will appear for the first time in the 2009 Rose Parade. They are going all out with the longest and tallest float in the 2009 Rose Parade. They will even be broadcasting the 2009 Rose Parade on Thursday morning. RFD-TV is the nation’s first 24-hour, 7-day-a-week television network dedicated to serving the needs and interests of rural America. Rose Parade Horses Video

The theme of the RFD TV Rose Parade Float will be Hee-Haw, a show that is now shown on RFD TV. The RFD TV Rose Parade Float will depict Rural America with a gigantic animated steam tractor, a 25-foot tall windmill, a barn and of course farm animals. To bring it all to life will be cast members from HEE HAW and stars from RFD TV equestrian programming.
“RFD-TV and HEE HAW are a match made in heaven to salute traditional, family-oriented rural entertainment,” said Patrick Gottsch, RFD-TV Founder & President. “We are honored to pay tribute to the American farmer and rancher—our viewers– on such a large national platform with a show that is still entertaining audiences today with its unique blend of “corny” humor. For over four (4) decades, every HEE HAW episode has ended with traditional country artists taking off their hats and “saluting” the audience from their famous cornfield. We are excited to recreate with the help of Marty Stuart and Connie Smith and repeat this memorable scene along the parade route as part of RFD-TV’s salute to entertainment.”
