Julie Goodnight will present at the 2009 Equine Affaire

Julie Goodnight is a horse trainer and a clinician who has more than twenty years of experience with a varied background, ranging from dressage and jumping to horseracing, reining, colt-starting and wilderness riding. She has caught the eye of many fans with her upbeat and logical style of teaching, as well as her ability to combine natural horsemanship techniques with the principles of classical horse riding. Horse people of all levels and disciplines that have attended her clinics have come away with a renewed insight into their horses.

Julie owns the Goodnight Training Stables, Inc., that specializes in starting young horses under saddle as well as educating older ones. This is located in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado. Apart from teaching on her ranch, she travels around the country and conducts several horsemanship clinics for riders and horses, that work for any discipline and level. Her classes also involve teaching riding skills, horse handling, fear management for riders and CHA instructor certification.

Julie Goodnight is the Program Director for the Certified Horsemanship Association, a non-profit organization that specializes in improving the safety and quality of riding programs.
