Horseback riding the Canyon Explorer is a popular equestrian vacation in the Grand Canyon, in Arizona Utah area. On this equestrian vacation you will get the opportunity to explore the Grand Canyon area, while witnessing the breathtaking views, and enjoying the wilderness. Horseback riding is one of the best ways to trek through the Grand Canyon.

Whenever you ride horses in the Grand Canyon, you must take time to enjoy and admire each and every view. This will be a spectacular encounter with nature. It will take almost a week to visit all the rims- North, South, and West. You will find it easier to reach the South Rim, as compared to others. You are also likely to find highest number of visitors on the South Rim. The rim features the greatest viewing points, as well as walking trails. There are also bus services helping visitors to reach to various overlooks.

It takes about 5 hours to reach the North Rim from the South Rim. The rim has a lot of open space and also offers some amazing scenic overviews, and a number of day hikes. The West Rim is favored by people who wish a more primitive and natural experience. Apart, Toroweap, or sometimes called Tuweep by the locals, on the northwest side of the rim offers some enthralling views. It is also one of the lowest viewpoints of the Grand Canyon but takes about 2.5 hours on a very rough, 4 wheel drive primitive road.

The Grand Canyon can be experience by many different ways, such as by car, hiking, rafting, mule trip, motor coach, airplane, helicopter, mule trip and horseback riding. Horseback riding is one of the best ways to get down into the canyon and view the magnificent beauty. The Grand Canyon Explorer Hike is one of the most popular ways that canyon visitors often prefer. If you choose to hike below the rim of the canyon, you will view breathtaking sights of the Arizona region. The trail is quite wide, and it proves to be a great hike for your entire family.
