Lisa has been a private Instructor for 25 years and Equine Rehabilitation professional for 40 years.  She is certified in facilitating Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), taught the Project Self Esteem at NMUSD for 3yrs, Coached Interscholastic Equestrian League of Orange County for 8yrs and operated day-camps for children and Ladies for 12 yrs at her ranch in Newport Beach, California. She is also an author, reporter and producer with Horse2Heart.com Equestrian News.

What is Natural andClassical Horsemanship ?

Lisa offers natural and classical horsemanship instruction that incorporates methods through which a rider communicates and bonds with the horse. The main purpose of natural horsemanship riding lessons is to create a relationship of trust, understanding and camaraderie between the horse and rider, so that the horse will respond to its human counterpart in a natural comfortable manner. The instruction begins with an assessment of the levels of horse and rider so a custom lesson plan can be created.

• Phase One: The first step primarily covers safety, basic skills, partnership and mental fitness.
• Phase Two: This phase takes the handler into the horse’s world, making him study the animal’s body language so as to understand the horse’s thoughts, reactions and needs
• Phase Three: The final phase in the natural horsemanship training program helps a rider learn how to use cues of ‘focus and energy’ to communicate and direct movements to the horse.

When you are a busy professional horsewoman it can really take some convincing. Let’s see, you want me to go watch other busy professional horsewomen ride their horses, and pay for the pleasure. Times are a bit tough right now for all or been there done that are a couple of excuses. Well ladies they don’t hold water.

Grab you hat and coat and get over here to catch and watch what you can of the Women Luv Horses Event. Lynn Palm has come up with something the likes of a private party for us horsewomen. She has brought us the best of the best in all forms. The gals riding are world-class champions and the set up is truly first class. [private]Considerately held in an open covered arena area you won’t get a sunburn or squint. Lynn is right on hand and mingles as you make your way through the fabu silent action items. The shopping is all stuff you want and need. You won’t see any ride on coolers and neon vests to hurt your sensibilities. That brings me to the horses I have seen here so far too. Whoa mama, back up the trailer, they are all gorgeous. If you had to choose a favorite one you could close your eyes and point and not have a regret.

So, I’m convinced! Lynn has come up with something different and at a level even a professional horsewomen who’s been there and done that is really enjoying. Even my boyfriend is digging being here. Women and horses. What’s not to like.[/private]
