The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games is comprised of eight equestrian disciplines: Dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, jumping, para dressage, western reining and vaulting. The disciplines are recognized by FEI whose current president is HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein of Jordan.

Alltech is associated with world class events and is being represented by the competitors who are taking part in the year 2010 World Equestrian Games. These games are held every 4 years, which is two years prior to the Olympic Games. The United States is getting the first chance to host these games in Lexington, Kentucky.

The event will take place from September 25th to October 10th , 2010. The 16 day event is taking place at the indoor convention center at Rupp Arena in Lexington. The games are planned to be broadcast on NBC sports and will make a statewide economic impact of $150 million. The list of sponsors is big and includes Rolex, Alltech, Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, John Deere, Kraft Brothers and many more companies.

The International Equestrian Festival (link to our article about this) will be held during the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. That event will include different participatory games for the visitors as a way to motivate them to be a part of the festival. It is a multi-million dollar event with educational seminars, entertainment and high end retailers from around the globe. The event is organized by Horse Capital Productions which is aiming to provide world-class facilities and services to all visitors attending the event. They are planning to have the best food, shops for different goods, parks, plazas and other amenities inside the convention center.

Apart from the many sponsors, the company has raised funds by joining hands with a charity fund raising team. That team organized an event in the year 2004 for the Kentucky Equine Education Project. They managed to raise $2.2 million which is now supporting this festival to become a successful event. With these great sponsors, the festival is expecting more visitors than they have ever had before.
